If you’re in any of my classes, you’ll need to use eperalta.org for a variety of reasons. Hopefully, you’ll be able to use this page to better understand how to use each of these functions! You can always go to my Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) or email me direction at scotthoshida@gmail.com, too.

A forum link has a small icon with two faces pressed up against each other like this:
Click on that link to enter the forum. Usually, there will be a text box full of instructions and a button that reads “Add a New Discussion Topic.”
Below the instructions a new box will appear. You’ll need to write a subject and the text of your forum in the box below.
Once you finish your post, you can click “Post to Forum” to submit your post. Then, you’ll see a list of other forum posts that you can look at and respond to! It should look like this:
Click on “Discussion” to see what other people are posting and you can reply to their posts there. Or, after a little bit of time, people will have responded to your post and you can see what they’ve written to you!

To look at your grades on eperalta.org, look at the column of links on the LEFT side of your web page until you see “Grades.” It should be under the heading “Administration” and the link should look like this:
Your grade sheet should look something like this:
Here’s what each of the columns, from left to right, mean:
- The assignment under headings for each unit.
- The points you received for the assignment.
- The range of points you could receive for the assignment (and each category or unit)
- The percentage of points received for each assignment (and category or unit).
- Notes and feedback from me.
At the bottom of each category is a total and at the bottom of the spreadsheet is a course total. You should be able to use this sheet to see your total grade for your assignments and the individual scores for each assignment.
